Doctrinal Statements
General Revelation
I believe that God reveals himself in general in nature. Every rainbow, every cloud, every tree, every person. Genesis chapter 1 tells us in verses 10, 12, 18, 21, 25 and especially in verse 31 where it is written, “God saw all that he had made, and it was very good” (NIV). I try to see beauty in everything I witness and see the

Christ took on the form of a human being for several reasons. One of those reasons, I believe was to show humans a perfect example of how our lives can be lived in servitude according to God’s laws. Matthew 23:11 states, “The greatest among you will be your servant” (Matthew 23:11, NIV). I believe that Christ died for all humanity because all humanity are the children of God and need salvation. This concept is demonstrated in Titus 2:11, “For the grace of God has appeared that offers salvation to all people” (NIV). I further believe Christ is fully God and fully human for the sake of all God’s children by the very nature of God. Finally, without the resurrection, the Christian would have no claim to eternity by the example of Christ. John 11:25 tells God’s children, “Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die;” …show more content…
He is ever with me, He shows me how to live my life in truth and love. He guides me, convicts me of my sin and always remind me that I am a child of God, who is loved and forgiven. One of my favorite Scriptures is John 16:13, “But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come” (NIV). .The Holy Spirit has changed my life and brought God to the forefront for me so that my life has completely changed. He is constantly opening doors of service to me so I may reflect God and Jesus in my life. I believe the Holy Spirit to be at once with God and God. The Spirit is God. The Spirit is a part of the Trinity. Matthew 28:19 tells us in the Great Commission that we are to “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit”

All to often people dismiss the notion of Christianity because of preconceived views of God and the Trinity, often after attempting to apply worldly limitations and constraints to the identity of God, which is revealed through creation. The idea of the Trinity and the incarnation are often misconstrued and misunderstood because of their complexity, but this is not problem that must persist when accompanied by a clear explanation of these complex issues. The birth, life, death, and resurrection of Jesus altered and transformed the world by revealing the nature of God to humanity, providing a pattern for a Christian life, and by atoning for the sins of the world. Jesus’ identity and purpose has been a great source of discussion and investigation through the years. Although many people do not seem to believe in the importance and legacy of His life, there are many profs and facts that show the meaning of His days physically living in our world. Jesus came to show us the correct way to live and direct our actions towards others. For example, in Matthew 5:43-48, Jesus speaks about loving one’s enemies. He mentions how important it is to love, bless and pray for those who curse, hate, use and persecute us (Matthew 5:44).…
