7. In your own words, describe your personal health philosophy. How do you personally view your health? How important is health to you? How much of a priority is health in your life?
At first thought I would say my health is the most important thing in the whole world. Then I start to think about all those times where I drank an energy drink and pulled an all nighter to study or the times where I do not eat a full meal all day. How can I say health is a priority in my life? However, health is highly important to me. I want to stay health so I can enjoy my youth and be there for me loved ones.

In America, different income statuses hold different health opportunities. The more money you have the better access to healthcare you have. People with a lower income are going to have less money to put toward healthcare so there health is impacted. In areas of low income, the education system is usually lacking, the environment is poor, and there isn’t access to many healthcare options. According to a 2009 study by the Joint Center for Political and Economic Studies, eliminating health disparities for minorities would have reduced direct medical care expenditures by $229.4 billion and reduced indirect costs associated with illness and premature death by approximately $1 trillion during 2003–2006. Not only can health promotion improve the life of one person, but also it can improve the life of their whole family. Since health promotion focuses of prevention, it reduces the cost of healthcare for everyone, including the individual and employer. (University of Georgia College of Public Health, 2015)
Ten years from now I see myself as a returned Peace Corps volunteer who landed a job in health care management. I want to join the Peace Corps to help with economic development in a developing country while also helping the community through health promotion. I intend on using planning model to plan impactful programs for the community. These countries are in need of programs like AIDS outreach, sex education, contraception and family planning, counseling, youth outreach. Hopefully with my economic development assignment will give me grants to develop
