I was confident with our money situation before I took this course but I really enjoyed refreshing and learning additional stuff while taking this course. Knowledge is power and it gives me more understanding to make better decisions. Taking this course has given me to push to look more into 101 Financial. I think having a coach to keep us motivated will help with paying down our mortgage is 5 or more years sooner than scheduled.

Currently we are only saving for retirement. My husband along with his employer contributes to his 401k and my employer contributes to my pension plan. I am going back to college to get my bachelor’s degree in …show more content…
We still have a few small annuities but the risk is minimal. The principal amount gets locked on its anniversary date and is setup to so it cannot go under the locked principal amount. My husbands 401k and my pension is at the middle to upper risk levels. Both are spread between various funds and bonds so we are not worried about losing too much. We are at least 30 years away from retirement and feel some risk is good to help it build a little faster but not a high-risk level to where we could lose everything in that account.
11. What kind of current lifestyle do you want vs. need? Explain.
I am happy with our current lifestyle. We have a roof over our heads, working vehicles, food, and running water, which is everything we need. My husband on the other hand loves material items. He would love to buy a new van, renovate our kitchen, bathrooms, and backyard, buy the newest iPhone, etc. I have explained to him these are all wants and things we cannot afford.
