My Personal Experience With Dissociative Identity Disorder

In 1996, after my husband almost took my life, I finally left that relationship and put 1800 miles between us.

I began to write a book before relocating, and I believed my book published long before now. But, fate had different plans for me. I had to put my work on hold to work on my healing, and deal with the issues that landed on my doorstep.

Issues involving my physical and mental health. Personal issues concerning my children's lives that affected me. Issues resulting from separating from the man I lived with for over ten years. In the midst of everything, I learned that I have Dissociative Identity Disorder. I can tell you, trying to grasp and accept that DID is a part of my makeup, was one heck of an accomplishment.

In-order to accomplish this task, I will be writing a written task based on Jay-Gatsby’s statement to a press conference where he will declare his true background stories and identity to the society as a whole. Like all children all I ever wanted was to be big and do big people things. I engaged in a few family members that I would look up to and try everything they did. I use to pretend to go grocery shopping and being a parent at times. I remember him trying to get up and get to me, but a few adults that had witnessed the accident had told him to lay down.…
