What I Learned In My Life

In life, their are many different things that could happen that make you realized something important about yourself and others around you. There were many cases in my life where I came to realize something important about myself. But only one stands out to me. This event was my first show with my band. I was exceedingly nervous beforehand because I had never played drums alone in front of people in my life. It was a huge milestone in my life and it changed me, for what I believe to be, the better. On that day, I was taught two extremely important lessons. The first one being that the best things in life are on the other side of fear/danger. The second lesson I learned was that everyone makes mistakes because we are only human.
I was around 12 at the time. I had already been playing the drums for about two years. I wasn’t a bad drummer for the time, but I was very nervous to play in front of others. I had always

That day has significantly changed my life and my view on life. I no longer stress about the little mistakes I make. Instead, I take note of my mistakes, then I make sure to practice them until I will not make another mistake like that. I now also try to live my life to the fullest. Some on the things I had tried that I was scared to do are; bungee jumping, rock climbing without a rope, slacklining, cliff jumping, and ziplining without a harness. I am not afraid to do things like that anymore because in the end, it will make another significant change in my life. The worst case could be that I die, at least I would be having fun in my last minutes and I would die with no regrets knowing that I had made the best out of the life given to me. I have also became a much better drummer since that day and I have been, overall, much happier. I encourage anyone and everyone to try new things and to not stress about little mistakes.
