For the most part, in the starting weeks of my placement, I was able to resort back to and find confidence and comfort from the skills, knowledge and experiences that I have gained from previous jobs such as my coaching experiences and the time I served as a member of the Toronto Police Service. A major difference I encountered however, was not being told what to do but rather taking the initiative to do things myself; I did not have a schedule or agenda to follow as I did with previous jobs and I essentially had to apply myself and take full responsibility of my actions.
