As a teenager, punishment and reward were not as important, it was a stage where I became a lot more socially involved but at the same time my personality was changing. Like any other teenager, it was stage in which I constantly tried to fit in and be liked by society. I became a more open person and someone who just followed what others did or did not do whether it was a new clothing style, music and even a change in the way I would express. There were bad things and there were good things that I learned and experienced from different personalities and events in school such as my peers and mentors, that ultimately had a major impact on my behavior and my moral thinking. As a teenager, I believe I was manipulated mainly by social norms and values of my community that most of the time had a negative impact on my life. I have experienced life in multiple ways that have shaped the person I am right now. My personal ethical values have been molded mainly from my parents, peers and my beliefs. Fortunately, my parents were always there to hold my hand and control my ethical development during my teenager years. They made a great job in constructing a strong foundation of values that lead to the man I am now. Through all the different experiences, outlook and changes in personality I have been through my life, I have learned that making the right decisions based on your own ethical values will put you in the right track.
