I was raised in a Catholic household, like many people who were born in the United States. My parents are not the most religious people in the world; my grandmother, who is an extremely religious person, always urged my parents to go to church. I grew up in the Catholic Church and even took the rite of Confirmation, but I lost interest. After some thought, I came to the conclusion that I don’t need to believe in the Christian God to have a happy life. I do believe, however, there is a possibility that there is a god. Despite my beliefs, I am perfectly fine with people believing in a religion.
