My Personal American Dream

Nowadays, there seems to be one constant factor that is always present in the American Dream. Money. Most americans dream about living in luxury and having lots and lots of money. Money has become a very controversial subject. Some will say that the key to success and happiness is with money, whereas others will say that not even all the money in the world could determine happiness. The United States is a very materialistic nation where just about everyone will overwork themselves in order to make as much money as possible. It’s no help that the middle class is currently being wiped out forcing people like you and me to overwork ourselves to just be able to afford the simple necessities. As the world has been evolving and the government has been advancing, the American Dream has been changing. It has become very hard for people to fully focus on family, happiness, fun, and reaching goals since money is the main concern.

My dream is to serve as a doctor in the United States Navy, get married, have a family, be financially stable, and to raise a family/ live in the south. Just like most, my dream is going to require a lot of dedication and hard work. To become a doctor, I will have to excell in my studies and really stay focused on my future. Joining the Navy will also be hard work but the pros definitely outway and cons. As far as getting married and having / raising a family, there will always be hard work involved. Relationships never come easy and neither does raising a family.
