Why I Want To Pursue A PHD Degree In Computer Science

My passion for technology and computers began in childhood when I was amazed by a personal computer which was awarded to me by my parents. My first experience in using a real computer encouraged me more to try much harder in school years to become a computer specialist. Consequently, I successfully passed school years by always ranking first among my classmates and received my high school diploma with 19.05 out of 20 GPA on the Iranian scale. In addition, my genuine enthusiasm which was followed by high school great marks brought me the opportunity to attend the computer Olympiad between Khouzestan province high schools and I ranked 5th in the final competition. Moreover, I am really passionate about working in professional research areas which could make me a good researcher as well as programmer and I will also have space to form new theories and cast ideas in the field I like to study in well-equipped research Laboratories. Furthermore, I personally believe that my intelligent and creative ideas could lead to introduce an invention in the world of technology and undoubtedly, a graduate program will be the first step to actualize my plans. One of my major reasons for studying a higher education level abroad is the lack of software experts and urgent demands for highly skilled programmers in my country industries and I really wish to transfer my knowledge and skills to serve my own nation and compatriots and a higher education fits in perfectly with my career aims and will make me an effective person in the field of computer …show more content…
It is also highly recommended by its graduate students and many professors around the world who care about research abilities. I chose this University for a wide range of reasons. First of all, the major reason is outstanding, experienced and Research-Active Professors with many publications in valid journals, Implementation of really innovative ideas in research projects as students’ thesis and, their time dedication to graduate students and guide new applicants encourages me more to choose this university. Secondly, I have been excited by impressive laboratory facilities I have seen in this area which could easily lead me to actualize my new plans and ideas with the help of faculty experts. Thirdly, in my opinion the UOIT is really fast growing due to the fact that from its foundation time in 2002 until now, it has experienced a really broad and rapid progress in various fields of study, in particular computer science.
