Essay About Reading And Writing

English has always been an easy subject for me as I truly enjoy reading and writing, for as long as I remember I have had a natural talent for English. The lowest grade I have ever received in an English class was a B at the very lowest. I believe my talent for reading and writing comes from my mother who has always been an avid reader and even read aloud while she was pregnant because she heard that it was good for me. While growing up, my parents took me to the library weekly to get books for myself as well as themselves. When I was old enough, she placed me in reading programs at the library to further my reading skills and to meet some other children before kindergarten. I stayed in these programs until about third grade. I really enjoyed going and got excited to see what the next story we would be reading. It was exciting to me to find a new book and just escape into the world of that book. Throughout high school, I was fortunate enough to have extremely great teachers that taught me very great writing skills and pushed me when it came to my writing as they saw how much potential I had to be a great writer. I am quite a bit rusty at writing now from having the summer off. In all honesty I found it extremely hard to come up with sincere and quality content to put into this paper but I truly enjoy the process of putting together a good piece of writing and the thinking process that it requires to do so. I do think of myself as quite a perfectionist when it comes to spelling, grammar, and punctuation as I am always correcting my family and friends when they are speaking to me or even texting me. Out of all of my classes this is the one I am looking most forward to participating in because I really do like to read and write papers, as well as learn better and new ways of doing
