People in general are diverse and have distinct components which make them unique and sets them apart from the next person. Among all of our distinct characteristics and appreciations for various subjects, many of us bring assorted passions and expertise on different topics. Even in recognizing my own interests and passions, I have yet to fully carry out a business concept I created back in 2011 which is still not in existence today. Recognizing there is still a desire to pursue my idea, while feeling disappointment for not executing its existence, I’m intrigued with James Kouzes’ and Barry Posner’s ability to spearhead the concept of leadership and become experts on their passion for organizational leadership. I find it advantageous to have a daily, visual reminder of my commitment towards earning and sustaining credibility as a leader. Beginning with discovering yourself, here is my responsibility towards my leadership role and others in which I lead. I promise to consistently take inventory on my credo, competencies, and confidence to demonstrate genuine leadership at all times to those who cross my path to ensure I am fully engaged in their development. For appreciate constituents, I pledge to show an absolute commitment towards my team members, peers, authority figures, and client’s ethics to foster empowerment and appreciation of the many valued differences they bring into the workplace and into my personal life. To affirm shared values, I vow to build and maintain genuine working relationships through a personal commitment in honoring other’s values, maintaining trust, and showing various methods of support of these values in my leadership actions. With develop capacity, I am committed to investing in and developing opportunities for creating ownership, responsibility, learning, and communication towards myself and other’s skill sets and talents. Overall, my definition of success is the continuous journey in obtaining the personal goals I set out to achieve. In my world, this definition is raising my boys to be God fearing men, being a caring and results oriented leader, receiving my Master’s Degree, and being a genuine person with integrity to all those in my life. It’s also everything else in between and along the way of life’s journey. In essence, I want my success to leave an imprint of making people’s lives better for knowing
