As a young boy that come from Dominican Republic a country where sport is a big passion, and knowing how to work hard to reach another level. I always had a passion for sports especially basketball. Before I come to this country I had a big dream to become a professional basketball player. But everything change when I come to U.S. It was something that God put me in my way for the first time that I been in this country. I found that I have talent that didn’t imagine that would able to do, that it was running. But not just run because everyone can run, I mean have the capacity to run fast, I guess! I thought that the world was to end for me, all my goals that I settled up when down. The type of injury that I got was a hamstring injury. However, my coach told me that I was dehydrated. After that, everyday my mom, my coach, and my teammates motivated every day, and they told me those words that made me feel much better. The other part was people told that I will never back to run the same way I used to be before the injury. But it was not like that because after it happened to me, I got back to the track my senior year, healthy and ready to run, yeah!. This year I showed the people that they thought was wrong about me because “I’m a soldier of God”, and I can do anything with his strength.

As has been noted, The reason that every day I fall in love with this sport, it because this sport show thing that other sports did not show me before. For example work hard, discipline and commitment. While, show how to see life with a different perspective. The other thing is you do not know what God has for you, learning have to be patient, and keep working hard. Also, When the opportunity came to you appreciate it the
