With my participation in the Honors College, I expect to gain more hands-on experience with my professors. While I have taken a number of classes that have challenged me, I hope to enroll in courses that challenge my way of thinking. But in fact, my experience depicts a quite harrowing and concerning aspect of presidency. In an interwoven city and school, creating close relationships was inevitable.…

I possess a quality of leadership that is as rallying as it is unyielding. I often find myself arriving at a decision, planning on how to accomplish this goal and standing by it. Although, this trait this can presumed as stubbornness, I place great emphasis on being a leader that presents herself as a figure of strong resolve but also as someone others can come to in a time of need. In my experience, by being a leader that serves as the foundation for her peer’s personal growth and prosperity will find this in return from them. To be quite honest with myself, I really am not sure why I’m so intrigued to apply and be part of the honors program at DePaul University. I’m an undergraduate who’s feeling so anxious but yet so terrified of being in college and not in high school. Just like any other undergraduate I want to fit in and have a lenient 4-year college experience. But that’s not enough for me because I’m extremely aware of my capacity not just as an individual but also as a student. I’m someone who enjoys the thrill of being challenged, why?…

I used to be a member of the National Honor Society in J.W. Sexton High School. We met twice a month to discuss about volunteering opportunities such as volunteering in the 40/8 veterans organization, which I helped out from time to time. In the 40/8 veterans organization, the people who work there make food for veterans to eat. I help out by washing the dishes. I also help out my church by assisting and participating in holiday plays, arranging food to be served every other Sunday, and maintaining a clean environment for the church.…
