Jana
Jana is a UX research who recently moved across the country. She attends a lot of UX related events for and needs to put them on her calendar. She has an iPhone, 4 different email accounts, and used both the Google Calendar App and iCalendar. She has run into trouble with the different Gmail accounts associated with different websites because the events populate on different calendars. Ex. Her Meetup account is associated with one Gmail account, her Eventbrite account with another email, and her job applications are associated with another. So, recently she has tried to consolidate everything into one Gmail account for all events would go one Google Calendar. This meant changing her email address associated with lots different accounts.
Her Google Calendar is synced with iCalendar. She uses her Gmail account and Google Calendar as the primary way to get events on her calendar, but uses iCalendar to view the big picture …show more content…
Additionally, in the past with work trips he had to take. In order to share the info with his wife, he had to make a special invite to himself (personally) from the corporate calendar so that he could then share it with his wife as an event through his personal calendar. Then, he would have to do this for all the information that he had to share – hotel stays, placeholder events, etc. It was also easier for him to log into his personal phone to view this information with only a PIN or fingerprint, than to use the work phone with it’s a 16-digit security
