Both Dorothy and Micah had superb fine, and gross motor skills. This included their ability to play with smaller toys, build puzzles, as well as kick a soccer ball and run around. The home environment they were observed in supported using fine motor skills as well as gross motor skills. There were plenty of toys inside for the kids to play with. Micah and Dorothy both worked on a puzzle together utilizing their fine motor skills. Fine Motor development has to do with smaller movements such as reading and grasping. (Berk, 2013) There was also room outside with soccer balls which promoted their gross motor skills. Gross motor development refers to control over actions that helps infants get around in the environment, such as running and crawling. (Berk 2013) Both of the twins motor skills were strong in running and picking up the ball. Micah would have the ball kicked to him and he would want to pick it up. His mother would tell him to kick it. He would try to pick it up, but his mother was repetitive in asking him to kick it so eventually he would. This goes the same for Dorothy. She was running holding the ball and threw it. While she was chasing after it her mom told her to kick it. She picked it up but with the constant reminder to kick the ball, she eventually did. They displayed the basic emotions of happiness as well as anger. Their Language development was excellent. They babbled as well as spoke the primary words that they knew. They were able to identify objects with speech as well as know what others were saying. Their Fine and gross motor skills seemed to be very strong. They were able to build puzzles as well as play with smaller toys which represent their fine motor skills. They were able to walk, run, and play with soccer balls which displays their strong gross motor
