Since, my second observation was more than two hours long, I was able to see the interaction between the older children and the younger children while they were outside. For instance, in my second observation, I was able to observe an older child pulling a red wagon with a younger child in the wagon. There were two instances where I observered the interaction between caregiver-child. The first instance was during was when the older children and Josie were playing with play dough and the nine month old child crawled into the room and Josie put his hand on the baby’s head and was pushing his hand on the child head. The caregiver saw this and stopped him by saying not so hard and then taking the infant into the next room. The second instance was during the second part of my visit, when I was interviewing the director outside and one of the younger children came up and said that the older girl had hit him. The older girl explained they were playing and she accidentally hit him and the caregiver explained this to the younger
