My professional goals for the next 3-5 years include being accepted into a nurse practitioner program at Ohio University, completing the program and graduating. Another one of my professional goals is to increase my volunteer hours within the community. I am currently seeking volunteer opportunities that allow this to be fulfilled. “Service” is one of the reasons I became a nurse, in fact it is the complete reason I’m in healthcare. I am in the process of researching specialty conferences I can attend to enhance my knowledge. I am then planning on applying for a CNP position within OHIOHEALTH. Obtaining this scholarship assists with the financial burden of paying for school. The scholarship would help to off-set some of the cost for tuition, books, lab fees, etc.
