In addition, I was not concerned if I was put in the battlefield where my life would be at risk . When I decided to place this thought in to action I was halfway through college and the recruiter suggested I finish my degree to potentially become a lieutenant. I continued on through college and met a professor who I acknowledge for imparting the encouragement that I necessitated, my grades improved drastically due to his confidence in me. Soon after, I was in good academic standing and was placed in the Dean’s list. Being victorious in life is about having the right belief principles in who you are and sincerely believing that you are unique and extraordinary. The fact that I graduated with a degree allowed me to believe that I could achieve anything. I sacrificed attending my graduation to become certified as a nurse assistant , I presume that is the price I had to pay for loss of time. I was thrilled when he promoted me to a Patient Care Technician in a heart failure floor. Under no circumstances did I visualize that I would get this far but the human brain acts like an electric circuit where if we present it to the appropriate wire you will go straight to your goal. I now have a different self concept of who I am , everything that I am and have become is by learning as well as acquiring from experience. I continue to work in a fast paced environment along with RN’s , I work closely with patients and want to continue doing so,I feel this is where I belong. Working at the hospital has prepared me for the role of a nurse. I want to become a nurse because ironically it saved my life , it taught me how to love ,filled the emptiness that I felt in my teen years and it allowed me to appreciate life.I feel that my journey was written this way for a reason,being able to struggle in my pursuit has allowed me to thrive and accelerate towards a higher level of enlightenment and human
