My physical and emotional needs and expectations of my night nurse regarding both symptom management and psychological/emotional support are I expect my night nurse to assit to eat, to go to the bathroom, to brush my teeth, to asses my vitals signs regulary for any abnormalities/new symptoms development and to help me turn back and forth in terms of my physical well being and needs. For my emotional needs, I expect my night nurse to guide me through the process of the surgery and the recovery period to help calm my fear and say comforting words such as “you will get through this.”
