When I was younger I found out that I am somewhat ambidextrous. I began playing baseball when I was 4 years old and I discovered that I can bat lefty or righty. Some of my life goals include starting a successful business and becoming financially free. I want to start a business instead of getting a job because I will have total control of my time and money. If I am the boss, I can decide when I want to take vacation and how much money I make. Starting a business does mean taking a risk which most people don’t want to do. I am willing to take that risk because it could potentially give me financial freedom before the social security retirement age. In addition, I can generate a significant amount of income that can support my lifestyle, I will be able to retire at a young age. This means I can do anything at any time I want to do and enjoy my life. All of the mindset that I have, I obtained from my dad who has owned a business for 17 years and all the business books I read. Even though these are long term goals that I am not able to reach for the time being, I still have some short term goals that I am working towards such as getting better in reading and math.
Throughout my middle school years, I have developed many skills. To name a few, I have developed the ability to work with other people, being a team player. I feel that being able to work with other people can improve my social skills. I have become an effective leader by helping my team members to develop a plan of execution when doing group projects in class. Talking about group projects at school, I often do more and beyond what my teacher expected of me in order to set good examples for my classmates.
