My Negotiation Name: St. Catherine Of Siena

My confirmation name is St. Catherine of Siena. I chose St. Catherine of Siena to be my confirmation name because I look up to her for accomplishing many things in life. For instance, she established a monastery for women in 1377 outside of Siena. She also is credited with composing over 400 letters, her Dialogue, which is her definitive work, and her prayers. Not only did I choose St. Catherine of Siena to be my confirmation name for her achievements but I also chose her because I thought she had an interesting life in general. She was the 25th child born in her family and had a twin sister named, Bonaventura. Unluckily, her sister died leaving her husband a widower. Catherine’s parents proposed her to marry Bonaventura’s husband, however Catherine opposed to the marriage and started to fast and cut her hair short to mar her appearance. …show more content…
St. Catherine of Siena is important to me because she was influential to others and liked to involve with helping others. I would describe her has helpful, loving, and mystical. St. Catherine was canonized for many reasons. Before death, she joined the Third Order of St. Dominic, which allowed her to associate with a religious society while living at home. She also took clothing and food to help the people in need. This is what helped her become a saint. In conclusion, I chose St. Catherine of Siena as my confirmation name because of the goals accomplished.
