My Narrative Paper

My last paper is called the Narrative essay. The Narrative paper is about three events that changed my life. The three events that changed my life are, the death of Bernie Mac, The loss of Ronnie Shumpert and this year election. I did good on this essay. I had to sit down and think about the three events that changed my life. At first I thought I could choose anything but I could not. I had to choose events that made the news and were in articles. I kind of had a hard time at first choosing my events. I had to sit down in class and at home and start thinking and writing down events that has affected me in my life. When I first started on the paper I had to think about what I was going to say. I know what to say but sometimes I do not know to

As I mentioned in the previous assignment, I want to increase my baseline 500 steps each week so that by the end of the semester I am recording 10,000 steps which is in the active range. I will continue walking around the property at work and stepping in place whenever I possibly can. I will stick to walking to the mailbox which is two blocks from home as opposed to driving up to it on my way home. If I have days where I am tired I will just give myself another pep talk. I have a pretty good support system thus far so I will lean on them if pushing myself on my own does not cut it.…

As I've gotten older in middle school I can see how much iv changed over the years and how my work has gotten better. At the beginning of the year, I didn't understand the writing techniques. I've always struggled with my writing and organizer and always been behind, but now I understand my topics and what I'm supposed to be writing. One of my greatest strengths is being able to create a story out of anything, I also took it in my hands to make sure all my questions are answered to understand what I'm writing about. Yet, there are also parts I need to improve my grammar and word choice.…

Writing has never been one of my strongest skills nor my favorite. Even though I enjoy reading another person’s writing the thought of someone else reading mine just sends chills down my spine. I wouldn’t consider myself a decent writer whatsoever. This defiantly gets in the way of how I feel about writing at times, because it makes me insecure of what others are going to think after they finish reading my essay. When I signed up for ENGL 1301 I was quick to assume the course was just going to consist of reading a lot of material and taking quizzes that covered the readings.…

Angie Margai-Renner September 6th, 2015 Ms. Winn English 2 Angie’s Personal Narrative I’ve always considered myself as a cracked egg because once an egg is cracked it’s impossible for it to be pieced back together. I came out of my shell during the end of my 5th grade year towards my 6th grade year. First and foremost before we get that far this is how it all began. I was born in Freetown, Sierra Leone; a really small country located in West Africa.. I lived there until I was 8 during one sunny afternoon when you could hear the weary cows, stray dogs scream the sound of uneasiness and footsteps approaching into the compound carrying what at the time was bad news.…

I was in the 8th grade and I was failing out of my old school called Briarcrest. I just didn’t really want to do school anymore. I felt like if I did it and actually tried then I would lose my friends and be this short, lame, and nerdy kid who didn’t have any friends. I got home from school one day and it was my last day of 8th grade. My mom said “Chris, I need you to come here honey.”…

Picture versus Personal Narratives Older individuals differ in narrative quality when prompted by different stimuli. The participants used more cohesive ties on the personal narrative than on the pictorial narrative. This may be due to the sequential nature of the personal narrative task and the descriptive nature of the pictorial task. Additionally, the results of this study show that older adults use greater lexical diversity during the pictorial task than the personal narrative tasks.…

I believe we have all had that one moment when we prayed to God that, “If you get me through this Lord, I will never do it again. I promise.” Now in my life I’ve had a lot of those “Oh crap” moments, but the one that sticks out the most is the one back when I just turned fifteen and got into my first wreck. Since that fateful day I have been in a lot more wrecks.…

I think that no matter what I am writing, I am always writing for a specific reader. Be it work emails or school assignments, I always keep in mind who I am writing to, so that my writing style does not come off as unprofessional, not respectful, or “too proper”. For example, in the design industry, you can never know whether a person will expect complete professionalism from you, or will he want to talk like a human instead of a robot. When writing emails to clients, coworkers or the boss, I first try to understand my audience and “predict” what level of professionalism will they expect from me, and only then I will send my email to avoid making a fool of myself.…

First, I was born. I do not remember the event firsthand, but several persons who I hold in high regard assure me that it did in fact happen, at approximately ten o’clock on the morning of August twenty-eighth, Year of Our Lord 1998. Shortly thereafter, my parents made the drive from the hospital in Montgomery, Alabama back to the small, white country church where my dad worked as preacher. It may be more correct to say that we drove back to the church parsonage, but this parsonage was only a double wide trailer in a clear-cut behind the church, so it will suffice to say that we returned to the church.…

On May 12, 2018 at approximately 0224 hours, I observed a Blue 2007 van bearing Florida tag 4459GC leaving the Grand BLV Motel, located at 7804 Grand BLV Port Richey, FL. An NCIC / FCIC check of the attached tag revealed it to not be assigned to a vehicle. The vehicle had been observed parked in front of the Grand BLV Motel for approximately thirty to forty minutes with a W/F seated in the front passenger seat. The Port Richey Police Department has received information from multiple sources and reveived multiple complaints about the sell / use of illegal narcotics at the Grand BLV Motel. Officer D. Peal confirmed Florida tag 4459GC was not assigned to a vehicle with dispatch.…
