Even though I know now that that isn’t necessarily true, I still feel rather attached to the name “Cho”. “Cho” has various meanings in different languages. According to Baby-names.familyeducation.com, in Korean, “Cho” means “beautiful”, and in Japanese it means “butterfly”; however, I do not visualize myself much as a beautiful butterfly. My favorite meaning behind the word that I discovered was that, according to wikipedia.com, “Cho” could be seen as the equivalent to “CHO”, an acronym for a Chinese Hamster Ovary cell. CHO cells are known for their usefulness in the scientific community as a mammalian model, from which biological, medical, pharmaceutical research is performed upon. Much like these cells, I feel compelled that my life has to amount up to something, and that my goal is to be a model from which others may learn from. I strive towards being something that may be viewed upon to help others develop, and I feel as though if by the time I die I do not make a lasting impact on or inspiring contribution to the earth, then I have lived my life as a failure.
