How is your motor functioning?
My motor functioning has reached its full potential in my life peaking in attributes such as strength, stamina, reaction time, and athletic performance as I was an emerging adult (Arnett, 2012). Even though the aging process has started, the effects are not yet noticeable, and have the physical ability to maintain performance similar to when I was in my early twenties. I am married and typically spend most of my “social time” with her. Though I do have friends, both of my own and together with my wife, the amount of time I have to spend with them is starting to dwindle. With the responsibilities of work and a growing concern of my aging body, I have ceased consuming alcohol, smoking cigarettes, and a number of other bad habits that were of the social variety (Arnett, 2012). In turn this has dwindled the amount of time spent “socializing” in this manner and limits certain activities that I previously enjoyed with my friends.
Who are your friends?
At this point in my life my friends have narrowed down to a few that I keep in contact with from childhood/teenage years as well as a few couples that my wife and I enjoy doing “couple things” together. Though typically there is not a lot of time in our life to spend leisurely instead things have become scheduled and planned ahead of time to fit into our hectic lifestyles that mainly involve work.
