My motivation for pursuing a degree comes from within myself. I have gone through many ups and downs with my academic career. Presently being in the area of accounting has helped me develop for my part. I do not have much experience in the accounting department, making every day a studying opportunity. Having this favorable circumstance allows me to have a head start with work experience. Working with my current company has given me the motivation to further my education in the accounting department so I could have bigger possibilities and the option to move onto larger companies.

I have always chosen to go with what I believe is best for myself at the moment. Realizing what I want in the long run takes continuous effort and overcoming the hardest parts to get to my goals. Who I was then, and even a few months ago, is nowhere near who I am today with my continuing efforts to make better decisions for myself. I have always loved school, when it came to learning things that will benefit me in real life. If there are times where I cannot see the subject applying to my life, it does come as a challenge with following through. As I stated earlier, I have put short term goals first and with a new mind frame I believe I can conquer this challenge. I have only told two people in my life that I have decided to earn my degree. Those two people are my best friend, who supports me in anything that I do. Also, my boss who has already shown how proud she is that I am taking steps towards bettering myself and really going after what I want. Once I get into the coursework I plan on telling my family who I know will support me and help me through the journey. As of right now, I am doing this for myself, so I will be my biggest
