My Role Model For My Mother

Throughout my eighteen years of life, I was lucky enough to have two parents raise me under the same roof. But the parent who took the most action in raising me was my mother. My father was there also, but he spent the majority of the days working, so I would barely see him when I was younger. I would see my mother from dawn, when I first wake up, to dusk, when I went to sleep. She would often set standards for me and steered me to the right direction when I was younger. My mother’s style of demandingness is authoritative. She has an authoritative style of demandingness, because of the way she decides her demands for me. The type of demandingness I will partake in is authoritative just like my mother. My reasons for doing so is because I felt that was the best way I grew up. I grew up safe but still experienced situations other teens / kids went through as well. Like my mother did, for my oldest child, I want to enforce the same rules. I want them to be the role model for their siblings as well. Another example I want to follow for my child, is as they get older, give them task’s that they are suitable to complete. This will help and better their responsibility level. For responsiveness, I would also take part in the authoritative style. I chose this style because I believe the others types of styles are not for me. I believe that authoritarian and uninvolved are too harsh for me. Permissive is too sensitive in my opinion, I want my child to build character. I will always be there for my child, and want to support them through anything. If my child is in need of help for an assignment, and I am able to help them, I will. Another point is I will always try to know how my child is feeling and if I am able to give them advice or
