Angels could not be everywhere, so God sent his best ones to take care of us, our mothers. The most loving beings that are always there when you need them the most. An unconditional love since the moment of the conception until their last breath on earth.
My mother is the sixth child out of nine sisters and one brother. They were nine children who brought up in a very loving and big family. She was born in Santiago, Province of Veraguas in Panama, on January, 11, 1947. The province of Veraguas is called in that way because it means “to see water” since it is the only province in Panama that have coasts in the Pacific and the Atlantic Oceans.
She lived in Santiago for many years along with her brother and sisters, but then when she was 7 years old, her mother (my grandmother) passed away. So, my uncle who was the older brother decided to move themselves to a different place. They chose to live in Aguadulce, which is the place where we live right now. In spite of the distance now that I am USA, we can talk to each other by Whatsapp every night. I remember many different anecdotes about her like the time when I entered her room and I asked her mom why do you have your underarm in blue?... and she said “I do not know”, it just appeared like that, and I said how come? What did you do yesterday? And she answered I just used that deodorant…pointing to a deodorant in roll-on at her night table, and when I took a look to the “deodorant” it was the roll-on for refilling ink on the ink pad, and that’s when she realized she made a mistake and we both laughed aloud.
