A Person Who Influenced Me Research Paper

Every day, we are influenced by something or someone that has a lasting effect on our lives. Some people are influenced by their teachers, others by family members. It can be anyone who has made an influential impact in some way in your life. There have been many people in my life who have great significance in the molding of my view of life in a positive manner. To me my mother is the most important person in my life, growing up as a single mother. She raised me to be a successful, responsible, and independent woman that I am today. Since a very young age, my mom has been instilling lessons in life that I apply today. I remember when I was kid she would tell me little things that I still quote today such as “if you have a passion you will find a way.” The first time she said that was when I was playing volleyball in my 7th grade, and I loved what I was doing, but I did not love my coach, I contemplated quitting, and before I made my final decision she told me that. Needless to say, I stayed on my team and learned what making sacrifices was all about to be successful. …show more content…
One day when my mom saw how bad I was struggling she sat me down and told me, “life is not always going to wait for when you are ready, it does not slow down for you, it does not wait for you, you simply have to get up get ready and get on the move to keep up with where you want to be. If not opportunities are going to fly by and you will miss them all together.” I am not going to say that the next day I changed my life, but I am going to say it was another tool she gave me that I placed under my belt to become the women I am today. She not only showed me how to be responsible for working two jobs, but she consistently gave me words of wisdom to push me in the direction I needed to go

The most influential person in my life was someone I never got to meet was my grandmother her name was Honey Sanguinetti because she died before I was born, I only have photos to see what she looked like at my age, very tall with long black hair, my father told me that she had chocolate-brown eyes just like me, and a deep tan complexion. That is all I know about because she died when my father was about five and my grandfather in no longer alive, but I do know that she had a kind soul and she wasn’t afraid to speak her mind if she saw something happening that she thought was wrong. From photos and stories, I have found that she loved horses so much that she started to rescue them, like her own horse a large Hanoverian gelding by the name of Thunder-head. Nevertheless, even though she couldn’t afford to start her own rescue center, she still wanted to help horses. She even wrote down everything she did with the horses in a bunch of journals.…

Even though everyone who I have met in my life has somehow influenced me and my understanding of the world, there are two people who have influenced me the most: my friend – Aigerim and my mother. We have never talked about our worldviews with Aigerim because it was not a topic which I enjoyed discussing; nevertheless, I believe that she is an agnostic, particularly, she believes in God, but does not follow any religion. She has mentioned God several times, but she has never spoken about religions. Aigerim is the kindest and one of the wisest person whom I have ever met.…

Growing up I always looked up to my dad as a role model. He taught me at a young age to not depend on anybody other than yourself. There was a day in particular when my dad sat me down and had a conversation with me and told me “if you don't know how to do something, don't look for others for help, instead learn to figure it out. Because the day it happens again you will have the knowledge to be able to fix it without needing anyone.” The conversation changed how I lived life today.…

Almost everyone has had a person in their life that has taken advantage of them and their kindness. That person may be someone who is not very important to them, or it could be a person that would have had a huge impact on them if the circumstances had been different. The person who took advantage of my juvenile naivety and my willingness to believe that everyone had good in them, was my birth mother. My birth mother is many things, and many of her qualities are considered desirable, such as her intelligence, beauty, and wittiness. However, she, like many others, also has poor qualities; but hers may be considered worse than others.…

Influence The right or wrong words that we hear in specific situations, from people who we love, when we are growing up, can be an important influence on the way we see the world. I feel graceful for all the people that I have met, because one way or another they are part of my life. One person has been a big influence on me, she is my mother, and the most important lessons in my life came from a trivial story. I was 16 years old cursing my sophomore year in high school. As a teenager in the 80’s my priorities were music, party and fun, though be good in school was only a way to get permission, from my mother, to do the things I used to like to do.…
