There are people in everyone’s life that have a tremendous effect on them. Some people say it is one of their siblings. Some people say that it is their grandmother or grandfather, or maybe it is an aunt or uncle they hold dear to the. And of course there are those people who choose one of their parents. The person I want you to know about is my mother. My mother will and always will be my best friend. She has always put Kimme, Jake, and me ahead of all of her wants and needs. My mom used to sing in the choir as a teenager and a little bit through adulthood. She went to a radio station as a young child and sang on the radio station and they recorded her. One day I hope to get my hands on that recording. My mom also sang the national anthem and pledge allegiance to me every morning because she thought we should know it by heart for when we got older. I can recall one day where she started to sing and I couldn’t help but to cry because of how beautiful she sounded. She still sings to this day, but she sings Karaoke. Both of my parents can sing good, but my mom, in my opinion, is the best singer I have ever heard. She can sing anything you throw at her. I have always asked her why she never tried going to a record label and sing for them. She has always told me that she wouldn’t want her life any different than it is now. She has always sacrificed her time for us. Anything we have needed she has been there. She is the kind of person who to put her kids completely before herself. I admire her for that. She is a very unselfish person as well. What makes my mom happy is helping other people and making them happy and comfortable. My mom owns her own business as well. She owns a daycare here in town. She has worked her entire life to have her own business. She worked at National Pen, Holland, and Jostens. She was high up at those places as well. She sacrificed not going to college when she was had my sister. She sacrificed all that for us. My father went on and furthered his education while she sat home and watched us kids.
