From my earliest memories of my childhood to today’s society I feel that their is still discrimination going on in the world. Through the many experiences I have encountered it is a huge problem that needs to be fixed. Asians are not the only races to encounter discrimination, but many other races too. For example, just because I have slanted eyes, somewhat yellow colored skin, or speak another language it justifies that I am of Chinese descent unanimously. Moreover, what grinds my gears the most is that some people cannot tell the difference between Asians and Chinese. In my experience, I have had countless people ask, if I was Chinese, when I responded “no,” they are like “oh you must be Asian then.” I do answer and say that I am Asian, but for some reason, these some people think Asian is a country not a continent. When I try to clarify their misunderstandings and perplexed faces, they tell me; “why didn’t you tell me you were just from Vietnam.” I usually let people know that Indians (who have dark complexions) and other non-looking “Chinese” countries are considered Asians too. Furthermore, that the many different countries in Asia, are what makes up the continent and where people are originally from. Another example, of discrimination in society today is the black lives matter movement, where numerous black people have died because of police brutality. These people who socialize or involve themselves with the movement feel that they need to stand up because the police force has discriminated them, by taking black lives one by one. Consider the many Arabs, Israelis, Muslim and others who have been accused of terrorism by the accounts of bombings on other countries. The whole country is supposedly a conspiracy, to threaten the lives of many other countless countries. When it is caused by a group of idiotic people who group and hide themselves in these other countries
