It was this experience that allowed her to tell me the depths of her interest for other people and their ways of living. She started working at Framingham State University, in September of 1990. She worked part-time, for she was busy with her newborn. Fast forward to present time and she is a full time professor teaching classes such as: Global Issues and Anthropology, Cultural Anthropology, Language and Culture, Native American Culture, etc. She also works as a head in her department. Most of her days consist of prepping for class and grading. Most people do not understand how much being a professor requires upgrading their current teachings. Culture is always changing, and Zimmerman has to change with it. Looking ahead Zimmerman hopes to get a writing project in soon. She loves to write, and hasn’t gotten the chance to write as much as she hoped.
