"Success is the result of perfection, hard work, learning from failure, loyalty and persistence" I have had many ups and downs over the course of my life thus far. One specific example of this took place during my freshman year of high school. When I started high school it was very challenging for me, partially due to the fact that; during this time, I was lazy, unmotivated and did not really take school seriously. This by far is one of my biggest regrets to this day. Who would ever think that not trying during my freshman year would continue to follow me throughout the course of my academic career.…

In today’s modern society, you can learn quite a bit about someone simply through observation. The manner in which their interactions and behavior are demonstrated can reveal contextual explanations about their experiences and the way they live their lives. Contextual explanation, as a sociological idea, is defined as the environmental factors that can explain or justify an individual’s life experiences. These particular explanations directly support public ideas, which cover the basis of environmental influence in a person’s life, some of which may include where an individual went to college, were they grew up as a child, and what kind of people they surrounded themselves with. I have been in places where not forgiving others has weighed heavily on my shoulders. We might say we forgive someone and not realize that internally we aren’t even close to forgiveness.…
