Every time we would visit her she would never complain because she didn't want to ruin the fun things we would do with her. To me she was one of the strongest people on the planet for all the sacrifices she would make just for us to have a good time. Not did she hide the pain she was in, but would also put everyone's needs before her own. One night when I was younger I remember not being able to sleep so I walked into my grandmothers bedroom and told her. Even though she knew that she probably would be …show more content…
Throughout all of the years that my cousins and I would make things in art class she would make sure it found a place to be displayed. She would also set out gifts that people would give her so that she would be able to look at them and think of whoever gave it to her. Around Christmas time of last year I was making a craft with her, I messed up on them and told her not to set them out. Then the next time I was over there I saw them hung up on the wall and I just laughed at the fact that she would hang them up to make me feel good about them. My grandma really cared that I felt loved by making me feel proud of what I got her or made her and that's something I'll never forget. My grandmother always brought love wherever she went and because of what she's done to help me it's taught me to be kind and to help others when they need it the most. All of these qualities my grandma had are signs of a true Michigan

Eulogy It never occurred to me that I would be up here so soon, talking about my Grandmother, Joyce White instead of celebrating her birthday with her and talking about the good old times when I was a little girl. I remembered my Grandmother as a beautiful lady with long black dark hair, rosy cheeks and red lips. She was not your typical grandma who baked cookies, stay in the house all day and knit sweaters, she was a woman who enjoyed life to its fullest. I used to remember when I was a little girl, I would love when my grandma comb my hair, she would plait my hair and when she is done, I would say to her, “Mama do not forget to fix my baby hair at the front with the brush,” she would smile and say “yes Kay, I did not forget.” She was a…

One person has always had the power to make a difference in another’s life. Whether that be a family member teaching a little one kindness, or even on a bigger scale Martin Luther King Jr. leading a revolution to the acceptance of people with different colored skin. Even bad people can make a change for the good, like a school shooter who makes schools realize they need a plan in place for an attack on their students. One person can change the way others think entirely and can impact their lives in a major way. Lori Ann Heyden, my grandmother, had made a huge impact in my life.…
