My Michigan Hero
When people talk about heroes I tend to think about people with super powers, and cool costumes, and sidekicks. But I also think about people who spend their days away from their families and homes, risking their lives daily... people like my father. He was in the Navy for twelve years and after a few of them he became a chief.
When he would have to leave, he would have to respond almost immediately. He would even have to report to the sub in the middle of the night sometimes.
