It was the day before the paragraphs were do and I had no idea what I wanted to do. I couldn’t think of anything to write for my personal essay. On every other essay, they have a guideline or things you must follow but with personal essays you get to write about whatever you want if it has a message. My message for personal essays is that they can go die in a hole. I hate having to choose a topic and write about it. It was the Tuesday right before Thanksgiving break and I was having a good day. It could have been better but I did get a 100% on my oral assessment for Spanish. I am in Chemistry when the bell rings and so I got up and went to my next class, English. I get done with sentence model six and I pull up schoology to see what we were …show more content…
I still had no idea what I was going to do for my personal essay. I started searching google for personal essay ideas but all I found are a lot of questions that to me would be hard to answer. My document is still blank and besides having to write a personal essay I still have other homework I need to get done like the test. So, to let my mind rest and take a break from the essay, I start working on other homework. I didn’t come back to the essay until Thanksgiving Day. I just got done eating and I figured I could do an essay about being thankful for stuff but that idea sounded corny. I tried it any way. I got to the third paragraph when I realized I didn’t have any more to write about. I left that idea up just in case I wanted to come back to the idea. I then proceeded to go to the next page of the document and think of another topic for my personal essay and unlike my belly my mind was empty. I figured maybe a nap would bring ideas into my head. I laid down by Captain Fluffy, my pet bearded dragon, and proceeded to take a nap. When I got up from my nap I completely forgot about my essay and started playing Mario Kart Wii with my brothers. I didn’t want to work on my essay anymore so I didn’t work on it for the rest of the

It all started that Thanksgiving of 2013. When my Mom, Brother, Sister, Dad, and I went to my nana and papa’s house at a little place called Murphey Court, at Linden Michigan. When my family and I got there, I saw my “Extended” family, My gg (Great Grandma), Conner, James, Aunt Sue, and my Uncle Steve. While my cousins and I were outside my nana was making the cake while my papa, dad, and mum were playing a game called dig dug. Thanksgiving dinner in my family is a big deal all our family and friends gather around to celebrate. There is always plenty of food, drinks, music and laughter. My family is loud, crazy and not afraid to voice their opinions so there is always drama at every dinner or family event. I chose to write on this because I never payed attention to detail or interactions at these dinners like why the women cook? Or why it is important that we are all together.…

The anticipation for Thanksgiving break is over the top. The thought of home cooked meals, family, and no professors talking a student 's ear off for a week are heavenly. Of course all the classic thanksgiving things happen but there are also psychological things that go on. (Darn that psychology sneaking its way into everything, it obviously never goes on break.) Although psychology is used every minute of every day i 'm only going to talk about 5 concepts, persuasion, cognition, emotion, personality, and the self.…
