During my 8th grade year i wasn't doing very well in an art class and i wasn't enjoying it at all. I asked if i could be put in a different class. One of the options was choir. I had always been a good singer according to others but I had never sang in a choir or been in any music class of any kind before and i thought that i would be behind in the class because i didnt know how to read music or anything like that. Surprisingly the class was easy going and i enjoyed it but I didn't think I would take it again during high school. Once i was in high school i was put in the men's choir because of my middle school choir teacher's recommendation, This class started me off on my goal and it honestly changed my life. …show more content…
He also taught me life skills and responsibility. He taught me about the meaning behind some of these songs and what the writers life was like when they wrote it. I don't think i have ever seen a teacher care so much about each of his classes like he had. I believe that most of his students respected him and his methods and enjoyed his class. It was one of the most enjoyable experiences of my life.This is why i want to become a music teacher. I want to give youth the opportunity to have that kind of experience and opportunity to have music in their
