Our journey of learning how to be successful in the Entertainment Business Master’s Program and successful in our career choices is what these courses are teaching us. A task we were asked to do was to review our course list for our degree program and provide a brief summary of how each course will benefit our careers. It would allow me to make sure the project is complete, allow me to make sure I have the correct budget and staying …show more content…
I have learned what it takes to be a team leader, what characteristics and qualities you should possess to in order to be a team leader, and how to actively demonstrate and follow through with a team project. I can apply everything I have learned in this class to my career choice as an executive producer. There were many different tasks we had to complete that were actually very fun to do because working in the music industry has always been a dream of mines. The assignments that we had to complete provided me with the capabilities of learning how to complete a team project, what the pros and cons of some team projects would be, as well as the opportunity of properly budgeting the projects. I also learned other ways to create the funds needed for your budget without asking for a loan. This would be very helpful in the future since the kick-start website is a very beneficial tool to use. My conflict resolution policy will help me solve any issues that may arise between the team members. This will happen a lot, especially when working on an album or the creative designs surrounding the album. One thing I have realized about being a team leader is you have to be able to be a good listener and available when problems or issue arise. All of the tasks we were asked to do can be used for any career and you can apply what I learned to any chosen field regardless of the industry. For example, every project you have to have a budget and it can be used for remodeling your own office or for running a

For this course, the three objectives that I incorporated at work (KOI) were obtaining my RBT (Registered Behavior Technician) certification, improving my planning and organizational skills for various tasks that needed to be completed, and cultivating professional relationships with colleagues and supervisors. I first selected the goal of obtaining my certification because it was something I needed to achieve in order to move out of training at work. Additionally, I feel that having this as a goal for the course gave me more motivation for obtaining the certification. Improving my planning and organizational skills was an objective not only for the length of this course, but something I want to continually work on throughout my time at the company. I…

For me personal mastery teaches that an individual needs to establish their own vision and values and align their actions to these visions and values. These visions and values should also be aligned to that of the organisation. It requires the person to look critically at the current reality and clarifying what is important to them and what they need to do to achieve what they want. This generates what is referred to as creative tension and in personal mastery it requires individuals to learn how to identify and deal with the creative tension in their lives. Creative tension can only be resolved when reality moves towards the vision.…

Once I started doing assignments, my whole perspective on technical writing changed and I was more successful that I thought I would be.
