Being a young adult experiencing the new world that had just opened up to me I was terrified. I had never done anything for myself. Anytime I ever needed anything my mother was always there to support me. Although I did have a few goals such as making a good grade in my high school classes and making sure I prepared for the tests. Having higher goals than completing high school is part of growing up and I eventually had to do it.

I would work at the pool in the morning and at the restaurant at night. I only had enough time to grab a bite to eat and change into my uniform before it was time for me to go to my second job. The days blended in together and I most of the time was sleep deprived but my goal was worth working hard to reach.
As I have told you I did not have my own car I had to use my mom’s truck in order for me to get to and from both jobs. I took both of my paycheck and never spent any of them unless I absolutely had to. Most of the time all I would spend it on was gas for my mom’s truck and food in-between jobs. It was very tempting for me to spend my money on anything I wanted because it was my money. Nobody could tell me I could not spend it because I worked very hard for it.
I took all the money I had from both jobs and saved it and by the end of the month I was ready to purchase my own car. I went looking online and at local places that I knew had cheap used cars. I could not find anything that was in my price range though.
