She was known as the little girl who carried around a camera taking pictures of anything and everything she could capture in the moment. “I was known as the girl who took her camera everywhere, I was obsessed,” said Brianna. As an eight-year old she grew out of the Barbie Polaroid but still clutched a camera like it was her only form of oxygen. On a specific trip to Universal Studios that year, her family realized the talent and potential she had, even at such a young age. She positioned her family and happened to catch the perfect sunset in the background. “You should really do this when you grow up,” Brianna’s family said. Brianna took photo classes when she got to high school not thinking much of it. Facebook had its big breakthrough while she was in high school as well, much to her favor. Brianna’s high school friends would buy her lunch or Starbucks in return for a profile picture professionally done by her. Straight out of high school, Brianna was told by many of her close friends and family that she should start charging for photos and start a career with it. Slowly, she began charging 20$ per session. She accepted the offer with the terms of posting pictures on Instagram along with a shout out. In return, Brianna was able to keep the clothing and rings with partial payment from the company as well. “I expected to just do a friend a favor and then,” Brianna said while gesturing her hands in firework motion, “boom, I’m getting all of these packages sent in all of the time along with over six thousand followers.” As word started to spread about Your Little Wild Child’s success, more and more opportunities came Brianna’s way. A makeup artist from MAC cosmetics contacted Brianna for makeover opportunities. Rose Carriaga, the makeup artist, had over 250 thousand followers on her Instagram profile. Once Rose gave a shout out to Brianna, it created more interactions. “After Rose, I got so much more interaction and the artists would just come and go. Some would move away after or it just wouldn’t work out,” Brianna said.
