When God created the Heavens and the Earth, “in the beginning”, He did so with mankind in mind. A place just for all to have eternal and glorious habitation, alongside the other creatures they could enjoy (Gen. 1:1-2).
My life’s work has been as a Pastor, teacher, Minister, counselor and friend to many. I believe that every day is a new beginning for each and every one of us. As “if we walk in the Light as He Himself is in the Light, we have fellowship with one another” (John 1:7). “Rather, speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ” and minister to all we encounter is the only true way (Eph. 4:15). Taking the words that God gave us and using them as a guide in daily life and work. I take every day to be the person that Christ and God would have me. I pray for all mankind, not just individually, but corporately, including those that are in foreign lands (Eph. 6:18). I give to those in times of need. I listen when one needs an ear just to be heard. I help those that are less fortunate than others and need things they are not able to obtain. I counsel in the ways of God in order for people to overcome their addictions or personal afflictions. I minister the word to others so that they may grow stronger in their faith and walk with God. As Towns states, “the purpose of the Church is the missionary outreach of the Great Commission” (Towns, 2002). To help others understand the true meaning of being a Christian. To love…
