I was struggling financially and knew that something needed to be done. My first option was to build up the courage to talk with my manager about my difficult times, and ask if there were any opportunities to pick up extra hours in order to pay the bills. My second option was to leave the organization and find a full-time position elsewhere to manage my expenses. I loved Coastal and leaving was my least favorite option, so I chose to take a leap of faith and spoke with my manager hoping we could work something out. Sure enough, God had my back and I was able to accept a full-time position shortly after this discussion. This situation influenced my self-esteem, motivation, and work performance tremendously.
