They say that every picture tells a story. There is one story I will never forget, and I have the photograph to always remind me of it. The picture was taken the day my oldest brother, Brian, went away to fight in Iraq. Just imagine being about eleven years old and finding out that your only brother was going away to a war on the other side of the world. It’s a pretty scary thought. What hurts me the most is when I see other kids enjoying their life’s and making memories with their siblings, while my brother is out there sacrificing his life for them to safely do so. Ever since he has left the environment has totally changed. My parents are emerged deep into their careers and adult responsibility’s, but I looking deep into their eyes I can see they miss their son. Brian’s picture is sitting right on top of the fireplace mantel in the center of the living room. We pass by the picture daily, but our hearts hurt the most when its special occasions and he’s missing and all we have to look at is his picture. Brian is the type of person that will always be there, if there’s darkness in your life I guarantee he will somehow try his best to bring the light. Everyone always complemented my parents on how good their son is I would hear statements like “ I wish I had son like yours”. This didn’t make me jealous but made me motivated to be more like him.
