Choosing a career can be difficult. Researching a career helps to determine the direction a student takes after high school. It is important to understand the skills or talents needed, education or training requirements, salary and benefits offered and the duties for a particular career when making this decision.
As far as skills and talents, they are numerous. There is the encounter of many different people and personalities. The time spent at this career is in between 30 to 40 hours a week. There are many challenges as well as benefits for an Art Therapist. One challenge an Art Therapist must deal with daily is the constant employ of new mediums, having to learn how they work when they come out. Another is first starting out with a client and having to get through the barrier in order to get them to open out. However, an advantage to being an Art Therapist is being able to help people with by improving their mental, emotional, and even physical state. On a typical day, an Art Teacher can deal with a number of creative situations. The details of this job is teaching the children on how to create and just be creative. The usual hours is around 53 hours per week.
