I remember the subconscious feeling of superiority. We were surrounded by people who had absolutely nothing and in we came to save the day, but those kind and welcoming people helped me the most. They were not “good-for-nothings”, but people, just people. I am astounded that for a second that I thought I was higher than another human being. Why? Because one day I could very well be in their situation if dire circumstances happened; we are all the same in the end. Our goal is to have the best experience on this earth and leave a positive impact before we leave, at least in my view. The truth is there are far to too many s warnings that this planet we live on may not in fact be sustainable, but still not enough is done. Afterall, we only have one planet and it is in the best interest we preserve it for future generations. If people could all see the beauty in the world, then they would have no problem protecting

In Nishio et al.’s Causes of homelessness prevalence, a poll among 114 homeless individuals found approximately half believed their homelessness derived from their unemployment (Nishio et al., 2016). Of course, unemployment is a byproduct of any capitalist economy and is an entirely different problem to tackle. Nevertheless, prospective employers hold potential employees to a certain standard, such as having a residence, a reliable mode of transportation, and testing negative to a drug-test.…
