I had already become familiar with the dedication and tasks necessary to become a doctor and I was not interested in that type of lifestyle so physician’s assistant was the next best thing for me. They ask questions, perform medical examinations, and prepare the patients for any further processes regarding their health. One disadvantage would have to be the fact that I connect with people on a very emotional level causing me to overthink decisions and actions. The fact that my job is designed for me to be in contact with patients makes the matter even more difficult for me because this will lead me to become attached to others not by choice but by my career expectations. One other disadvantage would have to be the fact that I would have to dedicate my time and hard-work towards this career choice. PA programs are designed to be very competitive and to work in fast paced environments so not everyone can become a physician assistant. On top of the hard work, you would need to be at the top of your classes and receive a high score on your GRE for you to come off as a more qualified applicant than others to the schools you are applying
