My Life Music Analysis

The Soundtrack of My Life is a creative project that incorporates the use of music to describe who we are. For this assignment, we have to think deeply about what songs would clearly represent ourselves, and include an explanation as to how it describes us. I have chosen three songs to analyze in this assignment, and I feel like those songs would really describe me as a person. The songs that I have chosen are: "Good Riddance" by Green Day, "Ride" by Twenty One Pilots, and "I'm Good" by The Mowgli's. The overall main theme of these three songs is how every moment in life has importance and should be cherished, and how each past moment makes us up to who we are now. Therefore, these songs would apply a lot to who I am, and they show relation to what I have experienced throughout my life.

This song applies to my life because the lyrics explain how we all fall at some point at our life, and that we would all make mistakes. However, the lyrics would motivate me to try harder whenever I make a mistake in life, and they would lead us to success. It also talks about fantasizing and dreaming, and I'm an individual who enjoys daydreaming, but sometimes, I overthink things. I can also connect to "Ride" because it also talks about wanting to have an easy life, and how there would be physical and mental struggles throughout life.
The final song that I am using for this assignment is "I'm Good" by The
Mowgli's. The lyrics of this song outlines the happiness and joy that should be appreciated in life. The song also talks about making the most out of life, and also explains the meaning of self-acceptance. It talks about how we should remember who we are and forget about what others think about us; caring about others' opinions make us less happier. Therefore, I personally connect with "I'm Good" because it describes the themes of self-acceptance and living life to the

On the surface, one might not think that the great Italian opera La Traviata by Giuseppe Verdi and the acclaimed indie group Dinosaur Jr. have much in common. One concert, for instance, took place in an intimate performing arts center to an attentive and quietly reverent audience while the other in a loud, rough-and-tumble rock venue to a lively and informal audience. Indeed, there may appear to be no similarities between the effortlessly skilled classical stylings of the UNT College of Music and the deliberately ramshackle indie sound of Dinosaur Jr. However, with these two concerts, we see Christopher Small’s concept of “musicking” in full effect and, critically, two different forms of the same musical elitism.…

I have never thought of a hero being just a regular person with a talent and a kind heart until I heard of Tyler Joseph from the band Twenty One Pilots. Whenever you have to make a choice, he says there will always be the easy route. That is the route that can give you what you want right away. But in the end, that’s the wrong choice. Most of the time, the right decision requires work.…

This year, our ballad for the set is Kindred Spirits, composed by Brian Balmages. Kindred Spirits was composed for the Browning family after Nicholas Browning had murdered his family on November 1st, 2008. I feel the song Compass by Lady Antebellum describes my character in a nutshell. It’s about following your heart not as much your head. It is about living life as it’s laid out, not how you think it’s supposed to be. I love this song because it also reminds you that someone will always be there when you need them. You may not know who they are, but I hope humanity has not yet reached the point where we leave another human being in need out on the street without offering any help.…

I chose the song "Break Up In A Small Town" because it accurately describes my life. About 6 months ago, my boyfriend and I broke up. Once we broke up I started talking to one of his friends, but not out of spite. We seemed very compatible and liked each other very much. I actually started listening to this song during the mess, and told everyone that the song described my life perfectly.…

As for the article “from Song of Myself” by Walt Whitman illustrates how everything in nature has a purpose, and how he loves being outdoors and being around people who work outdoors, like builders, and sailors. One connection I found between Walt and Theodore is how they both described the nature of animals . For example, Walt described “The brood of the turkey-hen and she with her half-spread wings.” As for Theodore he expressed the gulls “Even the gulls quiet on the far rocks.” Another connection I found between the two authors is how they mention how nature is scattering.…

When it comes down to the songs that will play in the movie of my life, these songs would be dramatic. Every song would have a different meaning, and more attention, destruct and love in it than the last. There are certain songs that are more committed to a certain time or event that has happened. Some are due to it being the song we sang when at the time, some being the lyrics that stuck years later yet most are because of the feeling when the song is first heard. Going as far back that I can remember, most of the songs that I would hear would be on the car rides to school or camp.…
