South Korea is a nice country, but the food was not really good because Korean food basically including vegetables in their ingredient where I do not like vegetables. Just like South Korean, China was a really great place too. I was so surprise to know that Chinese people are actually very friendly as they known to be very rude and easy to be mad. The most thing that my friends and I love during our student program in China was shopping because stuffs in China was really cheap and we could still be able to negotiate the prices. My key life lessons are that nothing beats hard work and if you treat others with respect, they will generally treat you with respect. Hard work and effort are the main aspects that lead to “lucky” things happening. Good things don’t just fall into people’s laps, the ones that have the most “luck” generally are those that put in the most effort and work. Also, I have learned that when you truly respect those around, they will respect you back and life is much easier when you aren’t doing things behind each other’s backs.…

Though I’m still developing my legacy, I like to think that most people who know me, regardless of how well, consider me a person that can put a smile on nearly any face. From my time in high school as photo studio assistant getting babies to giggle on camera to my work as a personal trainer cracking jokes to help clients through the worst parts of their workouts; I learned that a little laughter can improve any situation. While this is a fairly simple impact to have on people, I do believe that it’s a powerful one. My own experiences with bereavement, chronic ill health and periods of poor mental health have shown me the value of a person that puts in the effort and time to get a smile out of someone. Though happiness is a pretty fleeting…

My grandfather was born in Gilroy, California, in 1939. At the age of eight, my grandfather moved to a ranch near the outskirts of Gilroy, where he lived in a one room shack with his mother, brother, and step-father. For seven years, my grandfather lived in that poor shack, where he had to cover the holes in the walls with newspaper or cardboard just to keep warm during the cold winters. Years later, my grandfather decided to make something out of his life, and enrolled at San Jose City college in 1972, and graduated in 1975 with an Associate degree.
