My favorite quote is “life is like a coin, you could spend it any way you wish, but you could only spend it once by Lillian Dickson.” With that being said, at this point in my life I only partake in choices that would make me happy. Unfortunately, children do not have much control of their lives when they are younger but, there is a time in life where a person gets to an age in which they choose the way they live. Looking back, I do not regret anything in my life rather it was positive or negative. Everything I have personally endured has shaped my morals, values, and overall meaning in life. It has made me into the phenomenal women I am today and my life is also, the reason for my career choice. People life and experiences is what makes them you. Being able to speak upon your life shows that you have overcame the problems and that the person has enough courage to a sense of pride of what they have endured. Having a sense of pride shows they did not let life choices take control of their life. It shows strength because they were able to take a different direction and are no longer in certain situation now they could stand up and talk about it. Being an adult mean that you have a choice. They have a choice whether to use your past as an excuse to explain their current situation or as motivation to strive for more in life. That’s why I made the choice to forgive but not to forget and worried about the part of my life in which I am in control of. When I look at the hundreds of majors I could have majored in, none have met the qualifications for me like social worker has. My special skill is listening, giving advice, and helping.
