My life now / My life in five years The type of lifestyle I will achieve in five years will be 10 times more better than the one I live in now. It baffles me when people my age have no type of goal that will keep them motivated in life for what is to come in the future. I get such an adrenaline when I talk and think about my future, its unexplainable. Certainly, my job now and my job in the future will change. My location of living is also going to be having some change. There’s a lot of things that are going to change but my vision nor my character will and that I am sure of. Don’t get me wrong I love it here but this is not where I want to be living in five years. It gets me depressed to leave my parents, grandparents and siblings that live here but Orlando is where I would like to go as soon as I finish my degree. Even though it is a little far, it’s four hours away and we will still be able to visit each other. One of the main reasons why I want to move to Orlando, Florida is because to rent an apartment or buy a house is inexpensive, a couple thousand dollars cheaper. Another reason I want to move there is because of the salary. Labor and delivery nurses get paid ten more dollars than they would here in Miami. When people think of Orlando, what automatically pops up in their head is Disney World. Not knowing how diverse Orlando actually is. Although I will be making changes to my job as well as my home in the next five years, one thing I know will remain the same will be my character. Of course I’ve gone through things here at such an early age. Life has tested me a few times to see if I change my character. Either it was a teacher in school, a friend or an ex boyfriend. Regardless of what life throws at me, it’s a fact that my big heart and good intentions will always remain the same. Life still has a few obstacles to give me, but I know that the way I am will not only last me five more years, but it will last me till the day I

Florida is a land of sun palm trees and sand. Florida being a southern state with sweet tea, Publix, and Disney just a few hours away, had many perks. I had never thought of what it might be like to grow up in a northern area, or just even outside of Florida. Up until my 14th summer I had always assumed everyone lived the same way I did. GROWING UP Growing up, I didn’t have many luxuries, if any. The best thing I had was being a 5 minute walk away from a convenience store. The house I grew up in was infested with cockroaches and was falling apart within the walls. The dining room was so small, some of us had to eat on the floor. We only had three bedrooms, so my three younger siblings had to sleep in the living room.…

I have made some friendships that I know will last a lifetime and I can't put a price tag on that. I use to be so afraid of change when in reality change was exactly what I needed. I thought Blue Springs was perfect and I had good friends there that I never wanted to leave, but whenever I was forced to, it opened me up to new opportunities and I wouldn't trade where I am now for anything.…

What I hope to accomplish in the next five years is based off the knowledge I have up to this point, and has a good chance of changing due to future knowledge and opportunities, but the general outline of what I am hoping to accomplish will relatively stay the same. With that being said, what I am hoping to accomplish in the next five years, all takes place in college and 2 years outside of it. While in college, I am already pretty heavily involved outside of the class room, but I am always looking for opportunities to get more involved. With the things I am involved in, I am looking to take high up positions by the time I finish college. I am also focused on the most important part of college, which is the actual classroom.…

I remember it vividly it was summer in South Africa, as our seasons are flipped to those in the states. Nevertheless it being summer I had a winter coat on because I knew it was winter in the U.S. but I didn't know how cold it would be so I dressed accordingly to how I felt it would be in a place where it snows.…
